# §550.808. Prohibition against setting aside proper promotions.


Nothing in [section 5596](/usc/5/5596.md) of title 5, United States Code, or this subpart shall be construed as authorizing the setting aside of an otherwise proper promotion by a selecting official from a group of properly ranked and certified candidates.
