# §294.101. Purpose.


This subpart contains the regulations of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) implementing the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), [5 U.S.C. 552](/usc/5/552.md). Except as provided by [§ 294.105](/cfr/5/294.105.md), OPM will use the provisions of this subpart to process all requests for records.
