# §177.108. Referral to Department of Justice.


When Department of Justice approval or consultation is required, or the advice of the Department of Justice is otherwise to be requested, under [§ 177.107](/cfr/5/177.107.md), the written referral or request will be transmitted to the Department of Justice by the General Counsel of OPM or his or her designee.
