# §630.1. Purpose.


The purpose of this part is to prescribe requirements and procedures necessary for compliance with the National Transit Database Reporting System and Uniform System of Accounts, as mandated by [49 U.S.C. 5335](/usc/49/5335.md), and to set forth the procedures for addressing a reporting entity's failure to comply with these requirements.
