# §585.138. Definitions.

- (a) All terms defined in [49 U.S.C. 30102](/usc/49/30102.md) are used in their statutory meaning.
- (b) Bus, gross vehicle weight rating or GVWR, multipurpose passenger vehicle, passenger car, and truck are used as defined in [49 CFR 571.3](/cfr/49/571.3.md).
- (c) Production year means the 12-month period between September 1 of one year and August 31 of the following year, inclusive.
