# §585.131. Definitions.

- (a) All terms defined in [49 U.S.C. 30102](/usc/49/30102.md) are used in their statutory meaning.
- (b) Bus, gross vehicle weight rating or GVWR, low-speed vehicle, multipurpose passenger vehicle, passenger car, truck, and motorcycle are used as defined in [§ 571.3](/cfr/49/571.3.md) of this chapter.
- (c) Production year means the 12-month period between September 1 of one year and August 31 of the following year, inclusive.
- (d) Electric Vehicle, and hybrid vehicle are used as defined in [§ 571.141](/cfr/49/571.141.md) of this chapter.
