# §562.9. Compliance not affected by addition of certain materials and equipment.

- (a) **Successor standards.** Equipping new agricultural equipment that may be operated on a public road with lighting and marking materials and equipment that comply with a revision of ANSI/ASAE Standard 279 adopted after the version cited in [§ 562.7](/cfr/49/562.7.md) does not affect compliance with the requirements of this part.
- (b) **Additional materials and equipment.** Equipping new agricultural equipment that may be operated on a public road with lighting and marking materials and equipment that are in addition to the minimum requirements specified in [§ 562.7](/cfr/49/562.7.md) does not affect compliance with the requirements of this part.
