# §545.8. Records.


Each manufacturer shall maintain records of the Vehicle Identification Number for each vehicle for which information is reported under §§ [545.6(b)(2)](/cfr/49/545.6.md?p=b-2) and [545.7(b)(2)](/cfr/49/545.7.md?p=b-2) until December 31, 2008.
