# §5.49. Reports to Congress and GAO.


Unless otherwise determined in writing by OGC, it is the policy of the Department that upon issuing a guidance document determined to be “significant” within the meaning of [section 5.37](/cfr/49/5.37.md), the issuing OA or component of OST will submit a report to Congress and GAO in accordance with the procedures described in [5 U.S.C. 801](/usc/5/801.md) (the “Congressional Review Act”).
