# §5.113. Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA).


The Department shall comply with the terms of SBREFA when conducting administrative inspections and adjudications, including [section 223](/cfr/49/223.md) of SBREFA (reduction or waivers of civil penalties, where appropriate). The Department will also cooperate with the Small Business Administration (SBA) when a small business files a comment or complaint related to DOT's inspection authority and when requested to answer SBREFA compliance requests.
