# §385.901. Applicability.


The requirements in this subpart apply to for-hire motor carriers, employers, officers and persons registered or required to be registered under 49 U.S.C. [13902](/usc/49/13902.md), [49](/usc/49/49.md) CFR part [365](/cfr/49/part365.md), and [49](/cfr/49/part49.md) CFR [part 368](/cfr/49/part368.md). When used in this subpart, the term “motor carrier” includes all for-hire motor carriers, employers, officers and other persons, however designated, that are registered or required to be registered under 49 U.S.C. [13902](/usc/49/13902.md), [49](/usc/49/49.md) CFR part [365](/cfr/49/part365.md), and [49](/cfr/49/part49.md) CFR [part 368](/cfr/49/part368.md).
