# §29.500. Must a Tribe undertake an annual audit?


A Tribe that meets the applicable thresholds under [2 CFR 200.501](/cfr/2/200.501.md) must undertake an annual audit pursuant to the regulations set forth in [2 CFR part 200](/cfr/2/part200.md), Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, except to the extent that part 200 exempts a Tribe from complying with the audit requirements.
