# §256.1. Purpose.


The purpose of this part is to establish procedures for implementing subsection 4(i) of the Department of Transportation Act as amended ([49 U.S.C. 1653(i)](/usc/49/1653.md?p=i)) with respect to all financial assistance provided under that subsection.
