# §227.107. Hearing conservation program.

- (a) Consistent with the requirements of the noise monitoring program required by [§ 227.103](/cfr/49/227.103.md), the railroad shall administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program, as set forth in [§§ 227.109 through 227.121](/cfr/49/227.109..227.121.md), for all employees exposed to noise at or above the action level.
- (b) For purposes of the hearing conservation program, employee noise exposure shall be computed in accordance with the tables in appendix A of this part, and without regard to any attenuation provided by the use of hearing protectors.
