# §199.233. Removal from covered function.


Except as provided in [§§ 199.239 through 199.243](/cfr/49/199.239..199.243.md), no operator shall permit any covered employee to perform covered functions if the employee has engaged in conduct prohibited by [§§ 199.215 through 199.223](/cfr/49/199.215..199.223.md) or an alcohol misuse rule of another DOT agency.
