# §198.31. Scope.


This subpart implements parts of the pipeline safety laws ([49 U.S.C. 60101](/usc/49/60101.md) et seq.), which direct the Secretary to require each State to adopt a one-call damage prevention program as a condition to receiving a full grant-in-aid for its pipeline safety compliance program.
