# §178.350. Specification 7A; general packaging, Type A.

- (a) Each packaging must meet all applicable requirements of [subpart B of part 173](/cfr/49/part173-subpartB.md) of this subchapter and be designed and constructed so that it meets the requirements of §§ [173.403](/cfr/49/173.403.md), [173.410](/cfr/49/173.410.md), [173.412](/cfr/49/173.412.md), [173.415](/cfr/49/173.415.md) and [173.465](/cfr/49/173.465.md) of this subchapter for Type A packaging.
- (b) Each Specification 7A packaging must be marked on the outside “USA DOT 7A Type A.”
- (c) Each Specification 7A packaging must comply with the requirements of §§ [178.2](/cfr/49/178.2.md) and [178.3](/cfr/49/178.3.md). In [§ 178.3(a)(2)](/cfr/49/178.3.md?p=a-2) the term “packaging manufacturer” means the person certifying that the package meets all requirements of this section.
