# §173.205. Specification cylinders for liquid hazardous materials.


When [§ 172.101](/cfr/49/172.101.md) of this subchapter specifies that a hazardous material must be packaged under this section, the use of any specification or UN cylinder, except those specified for acetylene, is authorized. Cylinders used for toxic materials in Division 6.1 or 2.3 must conform to the requirements of [§ 173.40](/cfr/49/173.40.md).
