# §172.430. POISON label.

- (a) Except for size and color, the POISON label must be as follows:
- (b) In addition to complying with [§ 172.407](/cfr/49/172.407.md), the background on the POISON label must be white. The word “TOXIC” may be used in lieu of the word “POISON”.
