# §1100.1. Scope of rules.


These rules govern practice and procedure before the Surface Transportation Board under [title 49](/cfr/49.md), subtitle IV of the United States Code ([49 U.S.C. 10101](/usc/49/10101.md) et seq.). This subchapter will be referred to as the “Rules of Practice”.
