# §927.401. Definitions.


Technical data means data (other than computer software) of a scientific or technical nature. Technical data does not include computer software, but does include manuals and instructional materials and technical data formatted as a computer database (see appendix A to [subpart D](/cfr/48/subpartD.md) of [2 CFR part 910](/cfr/2/part910.md)).
