# §227.7010. Assignments.

- (a) The clause at 252.227-7011 is an example which may be used in contracts of assignment of patent rights to the Government.
- (b) To facilitate proof of contracts of assignments, the acknowledgement of the contractor should be executed before a notary public or other officer authorized to administer oaths ([35 U.S.C. 261](/usc/35/261.md)).
