# §95.50-1. Application.

- (a) The provisions of this subpart, with the exception of §§ [95.50-80](/cfr/46/95.50-80.md) and [95.50-90](/cfr/46/95.50-90.md), as applicable, apply to all vessels, other than unmanned barges and fishing vessels, contracted for on or after November 19, 1952.
- (b) Vessels contracted for prior to August 22, 2016 and on or after November 19, 1952, must meet the requirements of [§ 95.50-80](/cfr/46/95.50-80.md).
- (c) Vessels contracted for prior to November 19, 1952, must meet the requirements of [§ 95.50-90](/cfr/46/95.50-90.md).
