# §56.10-1. Selection and limitations of piping components (replaces 105 through 108).

- (a) Pipe, tubing, pipe joining fittings, and piping system components, must meet material and standard requirements of [subpart 56.60](/cfr/46/subpart56.60.md) and must meet the certification requirements of [part 50](/cfr/46/part50.md) of this subchapter.
- (b) The requirements in this subpart and in subparts [56.15](/cfr/46/subpart56.15.md) through [56.25](/cfr/46/subpart56.25.md) must be met instead of those in 105 through 108 in ASME B31.1 (incorporated by reference; see [§ 56.01-2](/cfr/46/56.01-2.md)); however, certain requirements are marked “reproduced.”
