# §56.01-3. Power boilers, external piping, and appurtenances (Replaces 100.1.1, 100.1.2, 122.1, 132 and 133).

- (a) Power boiler external piping and components must meet the requirements of this part and §§ [52.01-105](/cfr/46/52.01-105.md), [52.01-110](/cfr/46/52.01-110.md), [52.01-115](/cfr/46/52.01-115.md), and [52.01-120](/cfr/46/52.01-120.md) of this subchapter.
- (b) **Specific requirements for external piping and appurtenances of power boilers, as defined in Secs.** 100.1.1 and 100.1.2, appearing in the various paragraphs of ASME B31.1 (incorporated by reference; see [§ 56.01-2](/cfr/46/56.01-2.md)), are not adopted unless specifically indicated elsewhere in this part.
