# §53.12-1. General (modifies HG-600 through HG-640).

- (a) The instruments, fittings and controls for heating boilers must be as indicated in HG-600 through HG-640 of Section IV of the ASME BPVC (incorporated by reference; see [§ 53.01-1](/cfr/46/53.01-1.md)) except as noted otherwise in this section.
- (b) For control systems for automatic auxiliary heating equipment, the requirements in [part 63](/cfr/46/part63.md) of this subchapter govern and must be followed.
