# §47.610. Conditions of assignment.


Owners or operators of deck cargo barges which are draft limited by the intact stability requirements of 46 CFR [174.015 (a)(1)](/cfr/46/174.015.md?p=a-1) and [(a)(2)](/cfr/46/174.015.md?p=a-2) may elect to be assigned load lines under this subpart in order to load to a draft corresponding to the intact stability requirement of 10 foot-degrees ([46 CFR 174.015(a)(2)](/cfr/46/174.015.md?p=a-2)) while engaging in Great Lakes service during the summer season.
