# §380.10. Purpose.


The purpose of this subpart is to prescribe the requirements for the submission of applications for designation of vessels as American Great Lakes vessels, subject to the conditions imposed by [section 1522](/cfr/46/1522.md) of Pub. L. 101-624 (November 28, 1990).
