# §197.480. Logbooks.

- (a) The person-in-charge of a vessel or facility, that is required by [46 U.S.C. 11301](/usc/46/11301.md) to have an official logbook, shall maintain the logbook on form CG-706.
- (b) The person-in-charge of a vessel or facility not required by [46 U.S.C. 11301](/usc/46/11301.md) to have an official logbook, shall maintain, on board, a logbook for making the entries required by this subpart.
- (c) The diving supervisor conducting commercial diving operations from a vessel or facility subject to this subpart shall maintain a logbook for making the entries required by this subpart.
