# §185.724. Quarterly inspections.

- (a) Each winch control apparatus of a launching appliance on a vessel, including motor controllers, emergency switches, master switches, and limit switches, must be examined once in each 3 months.
- (b) The examination required by [paragraph (a)](#a) of this section must include the removal of drain plugs and the opening of drain valves to make sure that enclosures are free of water.
