# §174.075. Compartments assumed flooded: general.


The individual flooding of each of the compartments described in §§ [174.080](/cfr/46/174.080.md) and [174.085](/cfr/46/174.085.md) must be assumed for the purpose of determining compliance with [§ 174.065 (a)](/cfr/46/174.065.md?p=a). Simultaneous flooding of more than one compartment must be assumed only when indicated in §§ [174.080](/cfr/46/174.080.md) and [174.085](/cfr/46/174.085.md).
