# §169.622. Rudder angle indicators.


Each vessel must have a rudder angle indicator at the main steering location that meets the requirements of [§ 113.40-10](/cfr/46/113.40-10.md) of this chapter, except where a tiller or direct mechanical linkage is the primary means of controlling the rudder.
