# §169.119. Vessel status.


For the purpose of 46 U.S.C. [11101](/usc/46/11101.md), [46](/usc/46/46.md) App. U.S.C. 291 and 46 App. U.S.C. 883 a sailing school vessel is not deemed a merchant vessel or a vessel engaged in trade or commerce.
