# §160.027-2. Type.

- (a) Each life float must meet the requirements in [subpart 160.010](/cfr/46/subpart160.010.md) of this chapter for a peripheral body type buoyant apparatus designed so that persons supported are only partially immersed (180 N (40 lb.) of buoyancy per person required).
