# §143.115. Definitions.


The definitions provided in [§ 136.110](/cfr/46/136.110.md) of this subchapter apply to this part. In addition, the following definition applies exclusively to this part:

Independent means the equipment is arranged to perform its required function regardless of the state of operation, or failure, of other equipment.
