# §900.107. Role of lead and cooperating agencies.


In accordance with [§ 900.104](/cfr/45/900.104.md), the Commission may defer the lead agency role to other federal agencies in accordance with [40 CFR 1501.5](/cfr/40/1501.5.md), and the Commission will then exercise its role as either a joint lead or a cooperating agency in accordance with [40 CFR 1501.6](/cfr/40/1501.6.md).
