# §703.4. Advisory Committee Management Officer.

- (a) The Chief of the Regional Programs Coordination Unit is designated as Advisory Committee Management Officer pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972 (Public Law 92-463, as amended).
- (b) Such Officer shall carry out the functions specified in [section 8(b)](/cfr/45/8.md?p=b) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
- (c) Such Officer shall, for each Advisory Committee, appoint a Commission employee to provide services to the Committee and to be responsible for supervising the activity of the Committee pursuant to [section 8](/cfr/45/8.md) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The employee is subject to the supervision of the Regional Director of the Commission responsible for the State within which said Committee is chartered.
