# §263.14. What methodology shall States use to allocate TANF costs?


States shall use a benefiting program cost allocation methodology consistent with the general requirements of 2 CFR parts [200](/cfr/2/part200.md) and [300](/cfr/2/part300.md), [subpart E](/cfr/45/subpartE.md) to allocate TANF costs.
