# §146.119. HMO affiliation period as an alternative to a preexisting condition exclusion.


The rules for HMO affiliation periods have been superseded by the prohibition on preexisting condition exclusions. See [§ 147.108](/cfr/45/147.108.md) of this subchapter for rules prohibiting the imposition of a preexisting condition exclusion.
