# §146.111. Preexisting condition exclusions.

- (a) **Preexisting condition exclusion defined—**
  - (1) A preexisting condition exclusion means a preexisting condition exclusion within the meaning of [§ 144.103](/cfr/45/144.103.md) of this subchapter.
  - (2) **Examples.** The rules of this [paragraph (a)(1)](#a-1) are illustrated by the following examples:
- (b) **General rules. See—** [§ 147.108](/cfr/45/147.108.md) of this subchapter for rules prohibiting the imposition of a preexisting condition exclusion.
