# §8340.0-7. Penalties.


Any person who violates or fails to comply with the regulations of subparts [8341](/cfr/43/subpart8341.md) and [8343](/cfr/43/subpart8343.md) is subject to arrest, conviction, and punishment pursuant to appropriate laws and regulations. Such punishment may be a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not longer than 12 months, or both.
