# §429.16. How much is the application fee and when should it be paid?


You must remit a nonrefundable application fee of $100 to cover costs associated with our initial review of your application, unless the payment is waived pursuant to [subpart F](/cfr/43/subpartF.md) of this part. This initial review will determine if your requested use is appropriate for consideration and not likely to interfere with Reclamation project purposes or operations.
