# §4.416. Appeals of wildfire management decisions.


The Board must decide an appeal of a BLM decision under 43 CFR [4190.1](/cfr/43/4190.1.md) and [5003.1(b)](/cfr/43/5003.1.md?p=b) within 180 days after the notice of appeal was filed. The Board may issue an expedited briefing schedule to meet this deadline. If the Board does not rule on the appeal within 180 days after the notice of appeal was filed, BLM's decision will be deemed final for the Department.
