# §4.1003. Which rules of procedure and practice apply?

- (a) The rules which apply to the hearing process under this subpart are the provisions of [§§ 4.1001 through 4.1051](/cfr/43/4.1001..4.1051.md).
- (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of [§ 4.20](/cfr/43/4.20.md), the general rules in [subpart B](/cfr/43/subpartB.md) of this part, do not apply to the hearing process, except as provided in [§ 4.1017(a)](/cfr/43/4.1017.md?p=a).
