# §3921.20. Compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act.


Before the BLM will offer a tract for competitive lease sale under [subpart 3924](/cfr/43/subpart3924.md), the BLM must prepare a NEPA analysis of the proposed lease area under 40 CFR parts [1500](/cfr/40/part1500.md) through [1508](/cfr/40/part1508.md) either separately or in conjunction with a land use planning action.
