# §3598.3. Service of notices, instructions and orders.


The operator/lessee shall be considered to have received all notices and orders that are mailed by certified mail and a receipt received by the authorized officer. Verbal orders and notices may be given to officials at the mine but shall be confirmed in writing in accordance with [§ 3598.2](/cfr/43/3598.2.md) of this title.
