# §3584.6. Terms of lease.


Leases for hardrock minerals shall issue for a period of 5 years with a preference in the lessee for renewal for a term of 5 years at the end of the initial term and at the end of each 5 year period thereafter (See [subpart 3566](/cfr/43/subpart3566.md)).
