# §3431.0-3. Authority.

- (a) The regulations of this subpart are issued under the authority of the statutes cited in [§ 3400.0-3](/cfr/43/3400.0-3.md) of this title.
- (b) These regulations primarily implement section 2(a)(1) of the Mineral Leasing Act of 1920, as amended by section 2 of the Act of October 30, 1978 ([30 U.S.C. 201(a)(1)](/usc/30/201.md?p=a-1)).
