# §3175.70. Measurement location.

- (a) **Commingling and allocation.** Gas produced from a lease, unit PA, or CA may not be commingled with production from other leases, unit PAs, CAs, or non-Federal properties before the point of royalty measurement, unless prior approval is obtained under [43 CFR subpart 3173](/cfr/43/subpart3173.md).
- (b) **Off-lease measurement.** Gas must be measured on the lease, unit, or CA unless approval for off-lease measurement is obtained under [43 CFR subpart 3173](/cfr/43/subpart3173.md).
