# §2812.0-3. Authority.


Sections [303](/cfr/43/303.md) and [310](/cfr/43/310.md) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. [1732](/usc/43/1732.md), [1733](/usc/43/1733.md), and [1740](/usc/43/1740.md)), and the Act of August 28, 1937 (43 U.S.C. [1181a](/usc/43/1181a.md) and [1181b](/usc/43/1181b.md)), provide for the conservation and management of the Oregon and California Railroad lands and the Coos Bay Wagon Road lands and authorize the Secretary of the Interior to issue regulations providing for the use, occupancy, and development of the public lands through permits and rights-of-way.
